Comic books thrives off a hero and their greatest enemy, but as heroes often have multiple, someone often stands as second best. What examples of this are there?
Here are some I can give from Marvel that illustrate this:
Here are the main arch-enemies:
Spider-Man - Green Goblin/Norman Osborn
Iron Man - Mandarin
Captain America - Red Skull
Wolverine - Sabretooth
Daredevil - Kingpin
Now here are the secondary arch-enemies:
Spider-Man - Doctor Octopus
Iron Man - Justin Hammer
Captain America - Baron Zemo
Wolverine - Lady Deathstrike
Daredevil - Bullseye
I think this gets a good point across. So, what examples are there to be found? Discuss.
