    Default Who is Marvel's Trinity?

We all know the big three of Dc are Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. But who are the big three for marvel? I am not talking most popular, or who sells the most books. I am talking about who commands the respect and awe from the other Marvel heroes and public at large?

I think.... I think it changed based on generation and probably franchise wide. Like the X-books have they're own trinity. Further the 90's trinity is different from
what it is not based on the criteria you've given. I.e. "Not books but respect"

    OG. Avengers
    Tony, Steve, Thor

Current Avengers: I don't know honestly, all I know is that T'challa is on the list at the top.

    Late 80's early 90's X-books:

    Cyclops -Wolverine-Storm

    Krokoa:

    Xavier, Magneto, Apocalypse.

Funny thing spidey is the mascot but he's never been respected, ironically same situation with Carol Danvers post anad.
My priority is enjoying and supporting stories of timeless heroism and conflict.
    Everything else is irrelevant.

Marvel would be better categorized under “Four Pillars”:
    • Fantastic Four
    • Spider-Man
    • X-Men
    • Avengers

Marvel as a whole doesn't really promote a Trinity above all like how DC does with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. The closest you could get to this is Iron Man, Captain America and Thor, but that would just be the Avengers Trinity and calling them the Marvel Trinity would be a huge injustice to all involved. It leaves at least three big elephants in the room. It's especially so when you remember that the Avengers have historically been the least popular of the bunch, making it even shakier to call them the Trinity.

This is a recurring topic, and previous threads have been created some with variations on the theme. I would suggest going over them as well.

When I stop and think about it I agree with you. Marvel doesnt really promote a trinity because there are so many corners of the Marvel Universe. I guess had i just thought about it I wouldnt have wasted everyones time lol Sorry all

Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine in terms of popularity?
Marvel is just a different beast to DC

    You actually have it backwards.

DC has a Trinity; Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman.

Marvel has the Big Three; Captain America, Iron Man, Thor.
