I found the Beast’s Journal entry in the new issue to be wierd. He complained about Forge’s behavior...when McCoy was the bro-iest of super heroes for years in his Avengers days. Also... how coils Forge...with his human strength...stagger the mighty Beast with a back slap?

Beast hasn't been "fun" since at least Morrison or Whedon. He's a total buzzkill now.

I agree. I loved Avengers/Defenders/X-Factor/90’s X-Men Beast, but I haven’t liked him since Morrison....

I proffer the more comedic take Beast. He's just a better character, in my opinion. It is kind of sad to see someone who was once one of the X-Men's nobler members go down this
kind of path.
I think that the Beast in X-Force is the best version of that character that we have seen in a while, even if he does stll come across as something of a hypocrite.
