    Don't you read Batman Eternal?
    His response about Hush was from mid-August . . . Hush didn't start getting full exposure in Batman Eternal until later that month, did he?

    The big four for me have always been (in no particular order): Catwoman, Penguin, Riddler and Joker. I think it's no coincidence that my introduction to Batman was the 1960s show and they were the most recurring of all the villains. So I always loved Frank Gorshin's Riddler and Burgess Meredith's Penguin. Since then, I haven't seen any other actor cause me to be fascinated by the Riddler or, until now, the Penguin. But the actor in "Gotham" is really renewing my interest in the Penguin with this take on him.

    I get what you're coming from, but what I don't get is why couldn't they just make the Penguin pudgy like he's supposed to be, even if he is a younger version? That really irks me.

    Maybe Penguin doesn't become pudgy until after he stops having to scrap and claw his way up into the big leagues of crime . . . once he becomes boss and has a gang, he can sit back and gain some weight?

    I wonder if I tried to re-do this poll (which is a little over four years old) what the results would be these days?

    Oh, and at last check, results for top vote-getters had been:
    * Joker = 47 votes
    * Riddler = 46 votes
    * Scarecrow = 39 votes
    * Ra's al Ghul = 35 votes
    * Catwoman = 32 votes
    * Poison Ivy = 31 votes
    * Bane = 28 votes
    * Two-Face = 28 votes

    I also have no idea as to how long it's been since anybody added any votes to this poll.

    This is the first time I saw this.
    It used to be Joker, but then he's overexposed. So I prefer Two-Face, who has a connection with Bruce, and Scarecrow, who has a fun gimmick. I want to like Hush but he feels very limited because he's only focused on Bruce Wayne. Joker's still interesting though, he's just used too often, so he's still up there.

    Which is why it's sometimes bringing these old threads/polls back into the spotlight.

    Actually, isn't he in 3rd place?
    * Joker = 48 votes
    * Riddler = 46 votes
    * Scarecrow = 40 votes

    Rip, I looked at Riddler's bar. 3rd isn't bad either.

    For anyone who has an interest, in our show we released today, our rookie fan ranked the Top Ten Batman villains. We were proud of him for this one, as when we asked him to rank Spider-Man's villains and JLA members on previous episodes, he could only even think of seven of either. This time, he actually came up with ten!

    He agrees with the majority here, though, with Joker leading the way. I voted Harley because my wife loves her.

    I didn't expect Riddler to be the 2nd place... I guess Scott Snyder's zero year stories really made him shine. I'm glad, i love all of them.

    Actually, for years Riddler had been getting attention even before Snyder. And don't forget, he was in the Batman live-action TV show in the 1960s as one of the recurring villains (he was even played by two actors: Frank Gorshin and John Astin), plus there was Jim Carrey in the movie Batman Forever, not to mention all those appearances in animated/cartoon Batman and Super Friends shows.
