You raise a great point.

This is supposed to be the UK's "premiere super team." According to Bleeding Cool, the characters all represent countries within the union (Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland) and to the utter exclusion of the UK territories apparently. That's too bad, especially when you consider all of the British territories around the world, e.g., Montserrat, Turks and Caicos, Bermuda, Anguilla, BVI, etc., etc. Just imagine the different perspectives that could be brought to the telling. If the choice was mine, I'd definitely have Britannia -- who I imagine is either a goddess, or the supernatural embodiment of the great isle -- look more like runway model Chrishell Stubbs than Wonder Woman's mean (and forgotten) big sister. But it is what it is.

The big person is from Northern Ireland, as shown in the latest teaser, so I'm assuming the other two unidentified characters will be from Scotland and Wales.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this character is going to be a secret Skrull.
Aside from the fact that this book is coming out of Empyre, the text here sound to be refering to the casting out of Skrulls from Britain that happened at the end of the Britain-based Secret Invasion tie-in book.
That was the result of magic iirc, but maybe the magic has weakened. Possibly as a result of all the stuff going on in Excalibur or something else.

They appear to have pushed him aside in favour of Betsy, who now needs a new identity since Kwannon has taken her 'Psylocke' shtick. I thought they might be moving in that direction when they gave Meggan and him a baby. Very annoying, but US Marvel has rarely done right by Brian so it's not much of a shock.

Guess that'll be me not bothering with this then. Seems like none of my favourite characters ever get well done by...

I was thinking something similar, although not a Skrull, but a Kree. Skrulls genetically have always been identified as being reptilian humanoids, i.e., snakes. Plus, the eye reminds me of the electronic eye that some of the Kree Death Squad wore and the hood makes me think of an Accuser.

That said, deep down I'm hoping the writers aren't that predictable.
