"And that's the essential problem with 'Planetary' right there. When Elijah Snow says, 'The world is a strange place'... he gets Dracula, Doc Savage and Godzilla... When we say it, we get The Captain Fire-Cock Rock 'n' Roll Spectacular."

Kirby's Fourth world saga...
Peppa pig started out as shorts on a failed cartoon network preschool block and oinked like a real pig! CN saw the shorts as a dud and dumped them. Another network picked it up and it's now a million dollar series and a hit in the toy stores.
Speaking of cn they had another show offered to them but said it was "to strange" and would be a bomb and passed on it. Another network picked it up. CN was kind of right as it was not a big hit at first but after a bit took off! It was a show called spongebob SquarePants!
So yes cartoon network passed on both peppa pig and spongebob! Ouch!
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Quoted by Wikipedia:
Dredd was released on 7 September 2012 in the United Kingdom and on 21 September worldwide. Critics were generally positive about the film's visual effects, casting and action, while criticism focused on excessive violence as well as a perceived lack of the satirical elements that are found in the source comic. Despite the positive critical response, the film earned just over $41 million at the box office on an estimated budget of $30–45 million. Dredd saw greater success following its home release, and has since been recognised as a cult film.
