Default If the X-Men want Franklin Richards, why not resurrect Scrapper?

By Scrapper, I mean the Franklin Richards of the 811-Timeline aka Rachel Summers' fiancee. Now, if you guys don't know, Scrapper got atomized by a Sentinel and he cried out with his powers to seek a place in time when he was happy and safe - this being when his parents were still alive. His mind goes back in time and latches on to the baby Franklin already there, becoming one of his dream selves. The only problem is that he's more than just a dream self and so, to avoid fading, he calls on the incredible power of Rachel to sustain himself. What goes on is one of the most tragic but beautiful stories of the Claremont Era: Days of Future Present.

To sum it up, Scrapper finds the past to have changed due to Rachel and Kate Pryde's interference in the Days of Future Past story but because things ultimately converge into a Sentinel future nonetheless, Ahab's been sent back in time to make sure nothing else changes. Scrapper unlocks his true potential - and creates his own X-Men costume with a four on it to pay homage to the FF - and defeats Ahab, who retreats into the future. Problem is, for Scrapper - who's just pure thought - to stay alive,he needs Rachel's energy and will persist as a dream self. That taxes young Franklin and Rachel, threatening to kill them both.

Scrapper professes his eternal love for Rachel and allows himself to die so that she can live.

The X-Men and Fantastic Four call each other family, bid farewell and vow to stop the dark future if it ever comes to be.

This Franklin is one who grew up embracing his mutant side: he hated that Reed was afraid of his powers, went to the Xavier's School but was worried his dad would pull him out, was part of an incarnation of the new Mutants under Forge and Banshee and was persecuted and thrown in camps. In truth, he'd probably be much more willing to join them, especially if it means being with Rachel.

The only problem with this is we don't know when Professor X had Forge upgrade Cerebro. It's certainly before the Hunt for Xavier plotline, because in that, Cerebro's gone hawyire and is performing the functions she does now, just with a lot more aggressive tactics. It could be after Days of Future Present, happening right after the Muir Island Saga when Professor X has returned to the X-Men with Forge a part of them - but then why would that flashback take place in Eagle Plaza which was, at the time, abandoned and destroyed due to Naze/Adversary? That implies that if it is after, then it isn't right after but a fair deal after.

If it is before, then Cerebro would have record of Scrapper since he really was just a mind that could be duplicated. So, if that's the case, why not get the adult Franklin who already thinks he's a part of the X-Men instead of one who's unsure of where he even belongs in the world?

Or Hell, why not bring back Psi-Lord if Cerebro recorded him for the few seconds he was on the Earth?

They have been deliberately avoiding resuscitating mutants from other universes with equivalences in the current one (Nate Grey, Dark Beast ...)

We only have seen mutants with no current equivalence such as Bishop and Rachel.

DOF Present gets very little love here... but I thought it was moving and exciting.

    X-Men / Fantastic Four issue 1, page 1
Magneto: We would like Franklin to join us in Krakoa, permanently.
    Sue Storm: No
Page 2: The Five resurrect Scrapper and the book ends.

You are 100% sure that you can not see ANY reason why Marvel would release this book instead of what we're getting?

If they only wanted Franklin's powers they could literally steal his hair, clone it without a mind and Hope, Synch or Rogue copied the power.

Clearly I was trying to spark discussion an in-story reason as to why the X-Men wouldn't resurrect Scrapper, but you keep at it smark.

It's honestly one of my favourite stories. It's a really tragic ghost story, a great Fantastic Four story that shows Reed addressing his insecurities with his son and a great X-Men story that shines light on the Cyclops/Jean/Rachel relationship - with Cyclops wanting to be her father, Jean being scared to be locked into destiny and Rachel only finding solace in Nathan because he's a baby. It feels really Sophie's Choice in a way with Rachel and Scrapper both being these broken people who come together.

With Bishop, it's kind of a case that he hasn't been born yet. Gateway is his grandfather, so his father - Burnum Bishop - could be a toddler right now.

As far as I know, they haven't provided a reason as to why there are no duplicates yet of those from other universes.
