"Danielle... I intend to do something rash and violent." - Betsy Braddock
Krakoa, Arakko, and Otherworld forever!
Frankly the entire thing is a massive game of chicken at this point but mutantkind are basically poking the bear with the stick with the sheer amount of arrogance that they’re expressing in presenting themselves as better than everyone else while holding a quid pro quo above their heads.

Zdarsky: “I liken it to a queer kid being raised by lefty, super well-meaning parents who will always say they understand and are super supportive but don’t understand 100%, so that kid has to find their community.”
I'm not hopping onboard the fantastic four hate train, but I do believe Zdarsky intended for us to draw these type of metaphors from the story. I'm sure Sue and Reed will have a better understanding and tolerance towards their son's mutant identity by the end of this.
Reed can come to Krakoa when he squeezes in curing the legacy virus, restoring the X-gene, and nullifying terrigen mists into his schedule.
LMAO
Like this whole story was created in the lens of metaphorical queerness. If there are other reads then fine, but this is literally authorial intent.
You aren’t trying to pretend the X-Men have never stood as allegories for the LGBTQ+ community, are you?
Blackmail denotes that Krakoa doesn’t have anything to lose whereas the humans are at the mercy of them. That is not the case.
