Oh, I definitely used that term deliberately. If the Krakoans were selling the chemicals because they genuinely cared about humans' well being, they'd be medicines. Since the chemicals are being sold as part of an overarching plan to make Krakoa indispensable to humanity then use the proceeds to buy and remake the human world, they're drugs.

In your opinion, is the pharmaceutical industry peddling medicines or drugs?

You said the X-Men are doing nothing but stealing a kid. That is incorrect. They are trying to stop the murder of their children by building a safe haven that is recognized by the United Nations so they can enjoy peace.

Where was Xavier and the legions [heh] of X-telepaths when there are millions of mentally ill people across the planet who need just a psi-tweak to be better? Where was Storm when people were drowning in monsoons or starving because of no rain or getting their trailer parks destroyed by tornadoes?

All valid points , but I question whether it's ever been established that mental illnesses are easy for telepaths to cure?
After all , have they cured Legion of his multiple personality disorder ?

Also just another small note here but it is neither Ororo’s responsibility nor right to disrupt the natural ecological and atmospheric flow of the Earth. That’s a big part of her mindset as her weather manipulation inevitably always changes the weather somewhere else sometimes to their detriment. She doesn’t just magically manifest it like Thor. Nothing to your other points, but just wanted to address that often quoted misconception.

Legion's case is special.

Xavier was able to cure Legion's mother of catatonia but it took a long time. It is not something they can do quickly, it takes a lot of therapy time per person.

LOL! Alrighty then. You made a comparison between the Avengers and X-Men so that's what I responded to. I've already said that I feel Sue overreacted during the phone call with Scott and my general thoughts are embedded in the 78 page thread of issue #1 where we discussed what's happening between the two teams.

Now, I'm in agreement with some of the posters who feel this mini is a bit contrived to begin with. They're creating conflict for the story's sake, which is fine, but I'm not taking it all that serious because in my opinion, both sides are a bit out of character.

Now, also, I think if you can't see why the X-Men are sort of in the wrong, you've got blinders on. It doesn't matter if other organizations do the same thing, because most of those are villains or gangs.

Damn y’all are really going AWF in this preview!! Lmao anyways I’m just going to drop my two cents in here. You’ll find me hard pressed to find me not relating and agreeing to the X-men in most situations. Did Sue have to greet all of the mutants, some of them her longtime and best friends (Sue literally went wedding dress shopping with Ororo alone with Kitty) with an immediate force field? No. Should she have maybe had glass of Pinot Grigio to calm her suburban mom nerves before popping off like that? Maybe. However the real inciting incident for me(besides Erik having absolutely no sense of tact or timing when it comes to his superiority ideologies) was when Erik intentionally stopped addressing Read and Sue, as Franklin’s parental guardians, effectively bypassing/disregarding their parental authority in front of their son and started addressing Franklin directly on if he’d like to come with them as if Reed and Sue’s opinion was not important? That’s where you lost me. At that point in time all bets would be off. You may come into my home. You may talk to me about options for my child. But you will never disrespect me in front of my child and start conversing with them about serious issues as if I’m not in the room anymore just because you don’t agree with my judgement. Erik’s lucky a roll in the hamster wheel was all he got because their are parental boundaries you do not cross. That was most definitely one of them. Period.

In this week’s preview however Sue does need to chill for a second and think before she overreacts and does something folly. As disgruntled as she is by the altercation she had with the X-men, that fact is there was every possibility her kids ran off on their own volition especially learning about Reed’s violations towards Franklin. To jump to the immediate conclusion that some of your dearest friends, despite recent miscommunications, would KIDNAP your two children, especially with one of them being human and with no cause to be taken, is a huuuuuuge leap. A leap she shouldn’t take so willingly. But we shall see how it all plays out I suppose.
