I've already said that I feel Sue overreacted during the phone call with Scott and my general thoughts are embedded in the 78 page thread of issue #1 where we discussed what's happening between the two teams.

Now, I'm in agreement with some of the posters who feel this mini is a bit contrived to begin with. They're creating conflict for the story's sake, which is fine, but I'm not taking it all that serious because in my opinion, both sides are a bit out of character.

Well that’s at least a better sentiment than the majority of this board who have gone all in on hating on anyone not mutants.

If the comic is set after Xavier's murder, it may be understandable that they want to give him as much escort as possible. It is mentioned in X-Men # 4 that Autumn (Xavier, Magneto and Apocalypse) has special protection.

The Avengers were starting stuff because the Phoenix was coming to Earth? Except throughout the whole AvX left out the part where Rachel was able to control the Pheonix force.

The story didnt get contrived until Avengers editorial hijacked the story that X-Men had been working on for years in from Decimation to Messiah Complex and Second Coming.

These hero vs. hero stories are all paint by colors now. And editorial never learns how to make the stories interesting without falling into the same tropes.
