ME, YESTERDAY: spencer's run is cheeks
ME, TODAY: hot damn this chance arc was fire, look at all these plotlines finally intertwining!
I don't blind date I make the direct market vibrate
Can someone help me understand why Chance was UPSET that he ended up with Spidey's shooter? Didn't that mean that he's off the hook for all the payouts that day at his "casino" and Foreigner is paying instead?

I guess it make sense that Spencer is using Norah who's more of a flawed character than Joy Mercado or Katherine Farrell the other reporters that Peter worked with in the Bugle if he's using her like this.
Does Norah know Peter is Spiderman or is she just an idiot ?
I dunno, she literally walks in. Finds the mask. Then goes on and on about how Peter is "Spidermans number one guy" and this is a character we've been frequently shown is devious and outside the box so for her conclusion to be "Oh Mj and Pete do hero roleplay" seems dumb.

To be fair, at least after the Parkers Industries stuff, you can understand why most people would more easily buy Peter and Spider-Man as just "close friends"/"business partners" rather than the same guy. The gene splicing incident earlier this run also helps things. It's not perfect, like people have mentioned it's the same thing with alot of other superheroes, but its at least something semi-plausible.
The real question is you would think there would be more villains who would try to use "Peter" to get at "Spider-Man", since that's the one connection everyone is certain about. Though to give them credit, that does seem to be exactly what Chameleon is doing now anyway.
That is true. It's actually fairly plausible that it wouldn't occur to anyone that Peter and Spidey could be the same person.
But that leads me to wonder what the speculation is actually like in the MU as to Spidey's true identity. People in the MU must have all kinds of theories as to who he could be. It would be interesting for Spencer or another Spider-writer to name the most popular potential suspects.
