She only faced a little hostility from X-Factor during childrenīs crusade and then they wanted to help her repower mutants and later a litte criticism from Rogue and young jean but before childrenīs crusade she didnīt have any memory of what she did.

The authors didn't seem to be interested to explore Wanda's feelings about something that belongs to the past. But the same could be said about Genosha: it has been almost an non-event.
Yes and thatīs part of the problem because then the issue didnīt get any closure for Wanda or the X-men and the readers and thatīs why it still gets brought back, Pietro at least got character development from it on the X-Factor issues by Peter David and faced his responsibility in SoM.

On the Genosha side itīs a little more complicated because Morrison didnīt do much with getting closure for it but also little to no sympathy for the situation, Claremont tried a little to adress the issue having charles going to Genosha and help Magneto into getting it back on itīs feet but then HoM happened and decimation was the main situation the X-men had to adress. Cullen Bunn had Magneto in his solo title try once again to bring back Genosha but then the Inhumans vs X-men crossover happened and all the new citizens died from the inhuman gas out panel and Magneto went back to the X-men.

Hickman seems to want to bring back the situation of Genosha into the center of the story and I think thatīs great idea because it didnīt got a good follow up, I donīt agree with all his character choices and would love if he dedicated the X-men title to more character development and a little less world building, but Genosha being back is interesting. I am looking forward to see back during the Empyre tie ins.

Been catching up on Excalibur and Apocalypse is acting shady, as usual. He admitted to setting up a scheme for millennia to encase Rogue in a Sleeping Beauty type "spell" to access Otherworld, as a step in a bigger scheme to create his own magic branch. Excalibur are all expendable pawns to him and they know it. This is shown in #9. It's fascinating comparing that team with the rest who are on Krakoa - they're more like their old selves and they don't take Apocalypse at his word.

Maybe that's something in the air in Krakoa that makes the mutants more compliant…

Definitely. The contrast between Xavier and Excalibur was striking, and he's totally fine with what Apocalypse is doing.

Or just bad writing to have personalities shift like that.

Xavier approved of Apocalypse putting Rogue into a magic coffin (that's she killed him over!), starting a new magic system and conquering the universe. That's not the Charles we know and love. "You still on our side?" "Yes." *shrug* "Carry on, citizen."

Hellions was definitely by far the most unbiased portrayal of the characters in this new era. Its more in line with how they should be and not the kumbaya we are getting in most other books which would give people reason to believe there is some sort of mental influence at play
