looking for omnibuses to buy - help

hi guys, my favourite character from X-men is Wolverine, which are best omnibuses he appears in? Im looking for about 2-3 omni. thank You very much for help

It depends, Wolverine appears in a lot of Omnibus especially X-Men omnibus and some of the best stories with the character are collected in those volumes. If you want to read Wolverine solo adventures those three omnibus are the best in my opinion:

- Wolverine Omnibus Vol 1, this one is the best and collects some of the best Wolverine stories ever told. If you need to buy only one Wolverine omnibus, buy this one.

- Wolverine by Mark Millar Omnibus, this one collects some of the most popular and best Wolverine stories of the 21st century.

- Weapon X Omnibus, this one collects one of the greatest modern Wolverine story but the book focuses for the most part on the Weapon X series and while Wolverine plays an important role in it, he's not the main focus.

Now as I said previously, Wolverine also appears in a lot of X-Men Omnibus and some of his best adventures are also collected in those especially in the volumes collecting the Chris Claremont's run, the problem is that several of those volumes are now OOP and can cost you a lot. Krisis did a nice guide about how most of the Chris Claremont's run has been collected in Omnibus:

As you can see that's a lot of books (it's worth it though), it's hard to recommend a volume over another but if I really have to choose I would say Uncanny X-Men Vol 1-3, Mutant Massacre Omnibus and X-Men By Claremont/Jim Lee Vol 1 & 2 are the best volumes for Wolverine fans in my opinion.


Outside of the Chris Claremont's run, there are two other omnibus that could interest you:

- New X-Men Omnibus by Grant Morrison, it's one of the most acclaimed X-Men run of the 21st century and while he's not the main focus, Wolverine is part of the team and some arcs are dedicated to him.

- Uncanny X-Force Omnibus by Rick Remender, this omnibus collects one of the best X-Men spinoffs of all time and Wolverine is one of the main characters in it:

To summarize, if you just want to buy 2 omnibus that focus on Wolverine solo adventures: Wolverine Omnibus Vol.1 and Wolverine by Mark Millar are the best. If you like those two volumes, try to read the volumes collecting the Claremont's run, the Weapon X Omnibus, New X-Men Omnibus and Uncanny X-Force Omnibus.

If you need to buy only one Wolverine omnibus, pick Wolverine Omnibus Vol.1, it's the best one.
