I think Xavier or whomever he is has serects that Kitty could discover. Just random that she cant enter at all. Yes she is presumed dead in the latest issues. DON'T we think that is odd? Her of all people?

It's Charles (confirmed by Hickman and Jordan). IF someone is ordering Krakoa to do this, I don't think it's Charles. She can step on the island though, she just can't use the gates. But she's been seen at different areas of the island.

Honestly, the situation comes with a little plot-induced stupidity. Krakoa not allowing Kate through the gates implies she may not be a mutant. If she's not a mutant, then Cerebro wouldn't back up her mind. As soon as they found out the gates don't work for her, any of the people who were actually concerned for her (Ororo, Logan, Bobby, Emma, Bishop, etc.) would have immediately gone to Xavier and checked to see if Cerebro was backing up her mind.

Could be something different. If she's different, be it Neo or something else, one of her abilities is to pass for a mutant hence how Xavier found her out in the first place. But for all we know the eggs can only grow mutant bodies or some such.

This is what I'm wondering. Plus, Kitty is actually pretty strong and resourceful. And my theory about Moira is right, she feared that and how Kitty could work against her. Now, Kitty is dead and the X-Men are about to be in disarray from her death.

They've said it in interviews - Hickman just the other day answered the question about what happened to Charles using Fantomex's body, saying it was Fanto's body during HOX/POX until Charles was killed in X-Force #1, then they brought him back in his own body. So unless the Charles in 2017's Astonishing X-Men wasn't him, it's him.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe they're concerned there's something off with her X-gene in general.
