Default Happy 80th anniversary to Disney's Pinocchio

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinocchio_(1940_film)

The film came out in theaters on February 23, 1940 in the United States. Now the 80th anniversary finished just yesterday. Better late than never.

Pinocchio was one of the best films made by Walt Disney.

One of my favorites, though very dark along with Snow White at the time. Disney before Disney became Disneyfied.

If you mean Disney bowed to the political correctness and tried to be too diverse only to fail in their attempt, it is what I would call Disneyfied. They made a few excellent Disney films after Walt Disney's death. Namely Lion King, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and the Little Mermaid.

As someone who read the book Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi, I'm going to say it: the Disney movie's not dark. The movie doesn't know the meaning of the word dark.
