We all though it was the FF vs X-Men issue that was going to be the big dog just a few days ago. Oh boy, this one ran away with it! And yeah, there are absolute mad-dog fanatics on here that will be entertaining as hell to see melt down over what's coming down the pipe. There's also the spirited and stimulating discussions around the nuanced themes Hickman is playing with. Damn this is a good read.

But man, Krakoa looks increasingly like a poison well being worshiped by thirst people in the desert. That part with Kurt describing that dream-building is creepy as hell.

    Agree enjoying the ride.

But only issue #5, #6 and this issue #7 have given me HoXPoX vibes.

I wish every issue was like this.

We know Hickman has a long term plan. We've already seen the the wider universe isn't vibing with the mutants.

We've seen Hickman and the DoX writers set up a lot of new villains.

This series is raising a lot of questions that the X-Men have never had to deal with.

It's part of the damn story.

Yeah lets go back to the days when an X-Men issue didnt have 60 pages of engagement.

The X-Men finally being selfish and prospering isn't bad. Let them live for a little. F***.
Right on, brother. I read Hickman's Avengers, I know he puts the characters through hell. This was provocative, chilling, interesting, thought-provoking, triumphant. It's about time we have this kind of work on the X-Books again.

Neither is good. Pointing out an obvious story beat does not mean I'm advocating for the franchise to regress. Come on now.

Right? This one took us all by surprise. I haven't devoured a comic panel by panel like this in a looooong time. Kurt was incredible here.

You're in my prayers, spirit. I hope you one day can enjoy the ride that many of us are enjoying.

We waited for a long time for the Elf to get his time to shine and it was well worth it. There's also the overlooked point that Scott, one of the most steadfast and loyal is starting to have some misgivings. And when we find out why Crucible is in its current state, that pretty much Apocalypse was able to sway the Council with this ugly approach was shocking. It almost makes me want to see who voted in favor of Papa Apo's proposition.

What's with Warlock appearing and disappearing seconds later? Hickman hasn't yet explained Doug's arm.

This was by far the most interesting part of the issue. And was it Warlock? Hickman has already been playing with Warlock's race, and there was that hint that Doug infected Krakoa... Hmm.
