Wouldn't shock me if we end up seeing two or more factions of mutants out of this. Getting to be a bit Lord of the Flies.
The people to watch are Logan and Scott, especially after this issue and the fact that we do have Logan on a nonmutant team coming up.

I do believe that the current Avengers issue has some definite foreshadowing for the X-Men, especially with Steve Rogers seemingly trying pollen for some reason.

Well, we have that time-travel page.

For one, we know that pollen is taken theough the eye and we also have Logan involved. And we have Aaron's cryptic tweets that specifically mention Steve Rogers. Things are leading up to some sort of stand-off.

Trust and Apocalypse Don't belong in the same sentence.
Zealotry, trial by combat and X-Men shouldn't either, yet here we are.

The pollen drug from Wolverine #1?

You see, this is why they should have called it something other than "pollen."

I think this was considered a deluxe issue so it was a bit more expensive.

I think it's safe to say there are billions of opinions on what "parenting is about".

Right on. Just when I thought I had enough intrigue, Hickman throws more at me.

It was just in Avengers #31 out yesterday. It was more of a "vision" thing of the future. Not the greatest issue, but I enjoyed it.

Isn't he generally pretty straightforward? Not much for lies and subterfuge.

The main idea of the issue, and one of the main ideas of the run, is that Krakoa poses issues that are very hard or even impossible to solve while keeping a moral high ground. As they state in the issue the Crucible is not a solution to the mutant decimation by Wanda, but a solution to the potential problem of having hundreds of thousands of people randomly starting committing suicide to get their powers back. They also say how it would be a problem for the 5 because it would add a lot to their workload. Making the thing into a ritual allows them to pace it and requires that people give to it more consideration. That is not ideal is the point of the story I think, it’s practical and they have to do it this way to avoid worse consequences but it’s morally questionable. I also think this is something that Hickman always does when writing at Marvel, where readers are generally more opinionated and polarized than say an indie comic book, he put at the center a moral dilemma that will split the audience in 2 and generate a lot of discussion and debate. Like the killing another universe to save yours, from his Avengers’ run. It pays to have an audience of pro and anti Krakoa readers more than and audience that shares the same opinion, even if positive.

Kurt has never been an orthodox Catholic.
His Romani and nomadic upbringing means he would have been to many different churches, across Europe, depending on where the circus was. I wonder if he was Confirmed? Pretty sure Romani Catholic’s would have had him baptised pronto.
But I agree, setting up a religion is A Big Thing. A big character change. Certainly an interesting one.
I’m sure he’ll try to set up a good religion... but you know it’s going to end up in tears.

Is it not in some way the same division in the middle of the X of the new logo design?
