X-Men #7 SPOILERS

I have to be honest. I have been ranting 2 or 3 times about Yu's art.
I thought it was stiff, and not good for Hickman's writing.

But this issue proved me wrong : Yu's art in #7 is great. his art can be very good. And thank god it is, because I loved the story.
I was not very fond of X-Men, but the book is getting better and better. Now X-Men is in my new top 3 (with X-Force and Marauders)

What the words are useful for?

An image or acts is worth more than a thousand words. Words have their value but given their nature they can be illusory and liars. Actions define us and not our words.
Mutants went through hell on Earth. Remembering the acts committed against mutants and how it affected them until we get to the present moment is the best way to understand them or anyone who has gone through something like that. Reading a book on genocide is not the same as seeing an image or experiencing it. What is appropriate the difference between a comic and a book are the images that convey the emotion of the moment.

My question is, if a de-powered mutant fails the crucible and gives up, are they allowed to try again at a later date? Or is it a single opportunity?

It is difficult to say but even if there is another opportunity, it would probably be thrown to the end of the line which at the moment can mean months or years.

Yeah. It SUUUUUUCKS when a Jewish person shares pictures of the family they had that died in the Holocaust. Nothing is designed to shut mouths faster than THAT kind of unfair reality intruding on our fantasy that everyone can hold hands and sing kumbaya and get along if they just acted more normal...

For goodness sake, re-read Powers of X #2.

He did not call them weak or dishonest. He said, "You can live like this. Like a human. It's an existence of a sort. There's nothing wrong with it. We can make the pain stop. Your wounds can be healed. We have mutants that can make you whole".

He's made it clear that he has no interest in humans or their affairs but he is no longer seeking to cull them.

I'm not saying Wanda is a saint either but the hypocrisy being sprouted about how she did something so horrible and was never punished is ridiculous, when you realize damn near the entire council of Krakoa has committed horrible atrocities and gotten away with it.

Re-read Powers of X #2 to understand why they are allowed on the island.

We saw what Doom did and we saw what Wanda did on panel. Doom trying to cover for her which is implied in CC does not change the bit where she sought out this dark magic while of sound mind
