Wanda depowered 15 million of the 16 million dead mutanys in Necrosha. Hence why Selene only resurrected 1 million who had their xgene still
Ahem.......Article II
In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
Killing members of the group;
Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.
I don’t care about religious terms. I care about reality. The reality is, Gandhi was PART of the solution to getting the British out. He did not accomplish it alone, and he did not accomplish ANYTHING by “taking it and smiling”.
As for Xavier calling out people, etc, that’s all well and good, but without ACTUAL revolutionaries like Magneto (for good or ill) and later on, Scott’s X-Men, the state of the mutant people would be nil. Without people willing to FIGHT oppression (instead of fighting for the oppressor, even as they work to destroy you and your family, and plot to experiment on your children...), the dream of one day not being oppressed is worthless. It might do your soul good to hold tightly to it, but it doesn’t do a thing for your people or their future. Not without force. Gay rights would never have gone anywhere without Marsha P. Johnson and Harvey Milk, and the Pink Panthers and ACT UP. Famous queers before that - people like Quentin Crisp - we’re advising gay people to ‘smile and take it’, and nothing changed. Only when we united and stood up - even if we still in fight and bicker amongst ourselves - and refused to allow ourselves to be freely victimized and oppressed did things begin to change.
No one is calling for mutants to wage war or commit ‘reverse genocide’. But seeing them no longer allowing their oppressors to define their existence is cathartic as hell for me, and many others who have BEEN oppressed, who have BEEN abused for the sin of being ‘not normal’, and the sin of not ‘taking it and smiling’.

In Krakoa, power defines who is and who isn't a mutant.
Depowered mutants aren't considered proper mutant.
A fate worse than death it seems, hence why you see Selene strutting around Krakoa, Magneto idolized by the common folks and Apocalypse give grand speeches about sapiens and those like them, whilst Wanda is the boogeyman of mutant children.
THAT is the superior society the Kraked are building for themselves.
