    I'm all aboard the Emma/Storm friend train after this issue. I absolutely LOVED Emma's honesty. Where it was easy for Jean to say her and Ororo were friends when the Lion's questioned what their connection to Storm was Emma was self aware enough to know she committed an atrosity against Storm when she stole her body and as such she has no idea where she stands with Storm as it is Ororo's decision and rightfully so, how Emma is seen in her mind. And i loved she didn't try to influence that. Great Issue. Absolutely adored Emma in this.

    I liked the issue. It told a story with almost no words. My complaint is it isn't resolved at all and this is a one shot. I'm betting Hickman elaborates later in X-Men but I would've liked a more complete story if I'm not getting any dialogue.

    Oh and i strongly feel this should be re-released as a directors cut with the script as is attached at the end. I just know there was something to some of these lingering looks. lol

    oh and because i was just reading it. The page where Storm of all people says "save me" with electricity. Absolutely gut wrenching. For Storm of all people... The look on Emma and Jean face said it all i could see their desperation to help this woman they would love to help even if she didn't ask but the fact that she is in such a position that she did absolutely touched me and that trio hug at the end capped it all off. Amazing issue, amazing art.

    To me it felt more like her respecting Storm. Where as Jean threw herself down there because she is Ororo ride or die and friend and wanted to embrace her i felt Emma also wanted to show her some compassion but Emma is in a place where she doesn't want to force that despite secretly wanting Storm to be her bestie.

    But given Emma's personality when it comes to her clothing i can also see it your way too. lol

    Also wanted to add, i don't think Emma has ever seen Storm like this so that proably adds an extra element. This is a Storm who she knows everyone loves and respects and if she has ever questioned why she just saw a vulnerable side that even she couldn't resist.

    Right Jean was the one who didnt feel like picking the flower when it was just her and Emma but she wanted to act extra in Storm presence. All aboit saving appearances. Emma on the flipside got dirt on her to help Storm but didnt want to be phoney and act like they re that close.

    I would have thought that too as it wasn't clear but Jean being in the front and Emma being the back made me think Jean was probably like " Do we pull it up?" and Emma was like "Why the hell not darling?" If emma was in front to me it would have shown she started pulling first and i would totally see the point.

    I loved this issue. There was so much to absorb in the art, that I didn’t need dialog. Jean and Emma’s interactions might not tell, but shows a lot about their characters and their interpersonal relationship.

    Dauterman draws good hair porn.

    Also, as far as resurrection for storm, I think this image of the cracked egg and soiled yolk is a clue that whatever is happening to her, it’s gonna block the resurrection. 8354A458-B539-4200-B2AC-89C630F718FD.jpg
