I'm ready for a new writer. This book still has a lot of potential now that so many cool mutants have been brought back.
I like the mission statement of the New Mutants being Krakoa's welcoming committee or a rescue unit for mutants who can't get to Krakoa, but I'm not sure Brisson can make the book fun and exciting.
All his issues have been a bore and his cast choice is really lacking, considering he probably has all generations of X-kids at his disposal.

Crazy genetist who could be making these monsters and obsessed with getting samples of exotic DNA. She could fit the role.

If it's really her, it looks like the creative team drained all the fun out of the character.

Al has shown love for the OG Gen X-ers and Eve is already working on the other side of the pond's teen heroes in Champions! We just need to make sure my Gen X babies (poor middle children) don't get neglected. :|

No I didn't like her as Scarlet Witch, it took something from her giving the generic "energy blasts" powers. I think she could be somewhat of a human Mister Sinister and an interesting enemy.

At the beginning it looked like there would be some kind of twist about who saved the kid... But then there was no twist.
