Why are we having a "Black Bolt is a polygamist and therefore evil" debate when Kid Cable is about to date all five of the Stepford Cuckoos?

Such a whiplash to see how Psylocke was written in this after the journey she went through in Fallen Angels. lmao.

Also, Captain Kate Pryde's hair reminds me of Kate Bush

The same reason people are making up infidelity allegations for Susan to make her look bad.

"about to" i.e a comic hasn't been published yet. Don't know how it will play out, how it will be framed.

And being a cad isn't the same as being a polygamist.

Aside from 2 trials for Magneto (one that he rigged by mentally assaulting the justices to vote non guilty) and Wither put on trial for killing his father (where Donald Pierce's FBI agent nephew stood up for him) I do not recall this ever being tried in the comics. And there have been several instances where they had the opportunity...but it is cooler to run off and be outlaw vigilantes.
Actually… no, sorry I wish this were true however its not. The 13th, 14th and 15th amendments would not have been possible without the destruction and devastation of the civil war. The Civil Rights acts (there were several, because of strong opposition) only worked because of political action, favor trading and a campaign of deliberate provocative action. Civil Rights activists very much including King, went out of their way to provoke violent and repressive actions from the Segregationist defenders in order to publicize it and generate more sympathy and support.

The sad truth is that sweeping social reform usually only occurs after periods of intense violence and harm. Reform movements typically fail to produce significant results without dramatic (and usually violent acts) preceding them.

Yeah, this is true but… comic book.

    SUMMARY:

The comic opens up with the preview pages. After Sue destroys the device they were using to communicate with Krakoa, she, Ben and Johnny decide to go straight to Krakoa and get their children back (even though they're not there). Reed tries to convince them that Krakoa is now a nation and they cannot just invade it, but the others do not agree and so they convince him to go to Krakoa.

In the meantime, we witness Doom's attack on the Marauder. He makes short work of the team and hits Kate with a blast. She passes out and then awakes... at dinner time with Franklin, Valeria and Uncle Doom. Her powers have been disabled by Doom using his previous knowledge from her past experiments on her while she was a ghost. The rest of her crew has also been captured.

Doom explains those mutants that the Marauders were looking for were not lost at sea, but they were on Doom Island (yay he's got a great fantasy for names), which is a place where Doom has placed mutants from Latveria to avoid confrontation with Krakoa. Doom himself is there on the island because he wants to fix Franlin's powers. He was kinda nice, but Valeria points out later that he's still Victor Von Doom.

Datapage about mutant population by Reed Richards. He doesn't quite understand the meaning of Omega Mutants for Krakoans, and he's worried for when they will come for Franklin because of his Omega status.

We move to Krakoa and the Quite Council room. Xavier is talking telepathically with Jamie Madrox, who's investigating the disappearance of the Marauders. He tells Xavier that the crew is missing from the boat. The mutants at sea that they were looking for are also no longer showing on Cerebro (Doom probably shielded the Island after bringing the X-Men in as prisoners). They talk about what they should do about it and decide to send a team to investigate the disappearance.

Magneto is still worried about the FF and Emma suggests to prepare plans in case of a future attack from the quartet... who's actually been hiding in the Quite Council Room all the time thanks to Sue's powers. Magneto uses iron powder and scraps to reveal them and Cyclops is quick to blast Sue, who passes out.

The FF try to run away and the X-Men attack. Piotr tries to reason with Ben but gets punched, and Kwannon says that they have TP blocking tech in their helmets. Sue is still down and the FF cannot escape without her, so Reed decides to turn off her psi-shields. Emma is quick to get her but as soon as she does Reed turns the psi-shields on again. Sue is now awake thanks to that psychic push so she grabs her team and they fly away, heading to the location of Doom Island that they got while they were spying the Quiet Council meeting.

Scott notifies Xavier that they are heading there, and they decide to send a team.

On Doom Island, Victor is showing Kate, Franklin and Valeria his tech and he explains that he wants Franklin to reach his full potential (he and Magneto could be bffs). He lets Kate go and she goes to take the rest of the crew. In the meantime, we are showed that Doom is secretly spying on everyone and, most importantly, he has got a Sentinel army.
I won't lie, this story felt shallow and cartoonish compared to X-Force and most of all, X-Men this week.

Fantastic Four were dumbed down significantly, the Kraked even more so, Doom was his mustache-twirling caricature, and Kate Pryde decided he could experiment on Franklin, because of her own past experience with him, and because, what could go wrong?
She doesn't realize it's not her decision to make, she's just been dreadful to the Richards parents twice, back-to-back now…
Little light came from Valeria interacting with Doom, but otherwise…
Still shocking to see how BAD Krakoa's défenses are, how many breaches did they have on that island already? Is that the third? The fourth? I'm not even sure.
    That's just ridiculous.
Special nod to Magneto who sounded rabid for a moment… The Marauders were sitting in their cell, useless.
    And Franklin?
For someone supposedly central to this mini-serie, he was demoted to the sidelines really fast.

    1/5

    Unintelligent. Unrefined. Boring.
Art didn't manage to salvage that issue for me but, thankfully, that's part 2 of a 4 books miniserie, so ...
    Two down, two to go.

The way they got in was quite ridiculous honestly. They said their defenses were made better after X-Force #1 but the Black Tom security system alone should have made them visible as soon as they stepped on the island.

I agree that this is bad and uninspired.

But how does he know that there are bioluminescent spores on the island that would stick on them and make them visible? Which is also exactly how Magneto revealed them so it would have worked. That's just careless writing.
