Suffering from it isn’t cowardice. Offing yourself to forget it is, though.

But maybe it is him just trying to offer it to her, in which case nbd. But I think the repeated theme suggests otherwise.

Cold. Ending perceived suffering is the #1 reason people commit suicide. It's arrogant and small to write these victims off as cowards, instead of troubled people in need of help.

In the context of an universe where he could literally get his trauma erased by any d list telepath, it sounds rather suspicious of him to voice suicide ideation. Comparing it to real life mentally ill people is wildly inaccurate when he fully expects to be resurrected with none of his worries.

But then I remember he's probably a double agent and was trying to get rid of her.

Colossus has been struggling with depression since his debut 40+ years ago. That’s literally the point of his character. Strong and invulnerable on the outside, sensitive and fragile on the inside. Xavier and Jean never managed to help him.

Memory erasure only helps D-listers like Beak. Bigger names like Colossus always overcome the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.

Fuuuuuu I forgot about that Jean speech. She would have made the shittiest crisis counciler imaginable for sexual assault survivors. "He only took one night away from you, what you do with the rest of your life is up to you."

I thought this was another great issue however it was overshadowed by X-Men 7 today. The artist fit in nicely as a substitute for Cassara and it was nice to see Colossus and Domino together again.
    You brought back Wolverine

The CBR Community Standards a.k.a how to get along.

Jolly enjoyable, nice to see Peter getting some screen time. He’s definitely a double agent, question is, is he aware of that?

My digital copy didn’t have the data pages either.

Yeah I went to check after reading the review because I got no data page. Same for all the other issues except for X-Men/FF

I think one of the reasons he brought up the suicide option to Domino is he wants to clear his conscience. Something happened in Russia, and he is in the thick of it. Maybe he wants out, but cannot get out of whatever it is. I completely agree he is a double agent, but probably not by choice.

I am intrigued, and more will be revealed.
