Default If Warner bought the entire Star Trek franchise ...

    A) what could Warner do with Roddenberry's vision that Paramount (or whomever controls the property now) can't / won't?

    B) is this even possible?

    C) regardless of A, would you be for or against such a change taking place?

Unfortunately, WB has been very mismanaged for the past few years. I think they are going in the right direction by making much needed changes after the DC films underperformance and critical reception at the beginning. They are moving to director driven stories as well as having less executive interference with the making of their films. Hiring Walter Hamada for DC films was a great move as well as replacing the CEO with Ann Sernoff, who appears to have a good head on her shoulders. Both individuals want quality films and are controlling budgets better than the prior regime. I think we can all agree that when a film such as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix loses money after grossing over 900 million worldwide is a management problem.

Personally, I wouldn't want Star Trek going there until WB proves that they have corrected themselves and can properly manage their company.

Why are we speculating on this?
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

At a guess its because Disney owns Star Wars and Star Trek and WB are kinda the opposite/bizarro or whatever take on those two.

    Correctamundo!

Disney has Mickey Mouse & Pals, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars

Warner currently has Bugs Bunny & Pals, Harry Potter, and DC.

    Who currently owns Star Trek?

WB would have made it financially more successful than Paramount.

The quality would be fluctuating very much like the Paramount movies.

In a kind of way they sort of did have a license to make comics, since Warner owns DC, and DC published Star Trek comics for about a decade and a half, mostly based on the original crew at the time of the movies and TNG. (Malibu was doing DS9 and I think Voyager wound up with Marvel when they briefly did Trek comics).
