I'm afraid that Apoc will use the Externals energies to fuel his ritual or something on that line. Like he's been looking for endless energy sources and a bunch of immortal mutants could work for him to do whatever he decided he wants to do.

after doing my research the last days... here's my potential theory

it’s going to involve the nexus of reality & apocalypse destroying alternate versions of mutants in acquiring limitless power energy to ascent into a higher power.

battles will commence on Arakko island vs mutants with swords and after each battle the sword absorbs their soul and powers.

also Mr sinisters machinations will begin to unravel during this story with Goblin Queen emerging in bringing an INFERNO to krakoa.
