Since part of Excaliburs mission is about magic, I was shocked she was left out of the line-up.

None of Excalibur's original cast had anything to do with magic. All the notable characters like Magik, Pixie, Daytripper, Selene, for example were left out

Might be the villain of the event? It seems the cover to X-Men might show the battle between this sword wielder and the Horsemen/Apocalypse?

We know for sure that the demon horde that came from that underground hellhole will be villains here. Hopefully we see who was wielding the twilight sword.

The twist is that the demons are actually the good guys and they've come to topple the polyamorous mind-controlled Krakoan pod people and free the real X-Men in their 90s Jim Lee costumes from the Pit.

the crocodile is 100 % arrako.
also we are missing two of the og horsemen, the jacqal head and war are still here, but sun disk head and mummy head are not.
They look ridiculously cool and the one in the center looked even more beautifull in life as we see in the free issue

The situation the summoner described was dire, that they were barely holding and they needed help, so maybe the two horsemen falling was the catalyst for that desperation.

Forgive my ignorance but who are these guys? I see the 4 original horsemen but don’t know the others lol
