She got introduced as a lacky in Freedom Force. I dont think she's ever been portrayed as a powerhouse villian thats been a major threat to the X-men regardless of what abilities she may have had

W... What? A lackey? She did join Freedom Force, but she didn't take orders and even Mystique was afraid of her. She took out Magneto on her own in her early Freedom Force days, too, and held her own against the entire X-Men team.

She also recently had her full powers restored.

Well i recall Classic Spiral as a serious threat, maybe not a whole power house but very dangerous, she easily nullified Spectrum and Magneto powers, also easily subdued the likes of Hercules,Wonder Man and Ironman at the same time.

The times she got close to being overwhelmed by a team she just teleported away lol

Another great feat of her was when she managed to turn to children a group of X-Men consisting in Juggernaut (who was depowered i think), Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Bishop, Storm, Rachel Grey and Kurt's daughter from another reality back in Uncanny X-Men vol.1 #461

Really? This are good news since she was depowered by Mojo and sent to Earth while stripping her ability to teleport and apparently, taking abilities like phasing, invisibility and then some more with it considering she uses them through her ability to teleport between dimensions.

it got me thinking about x of swords......

It would be fun if this is why the X-men have to take up swords. if so, good find. There might be some other mystical/magical explanation as to why they have to wield swords in this story. It should be interesting nonetheless. I can't wait for the story to come out and see what role the various X-men take in this crossover.

When? In her first battle with Magneto, she binded him, which he easily got out of. She later temporarily neutralized his powers and he only stood down bc Mystique put a gun to his head, at which point Cyclops blasted Spiral and neutralized her. Like I said she's not a powerhouse and not on the level of Selene and Candra, whom you placed her with. She's on the same level of Deathbird and Mystique to me but really has been less of a threat than Raven in practice. That isnt a bad thing but I do believe she is being overhyped here

Thats just the three issues, right? Stasis, Creation and Destruction? Along with their Excalibur and X-Men issues.

But all the other writers are writing some of the event or?

I think this is going to be like Messiah complex, every title currently on the line will have a part or chapter of the general story with Stasis, creation and destruction being the main chapters of the story.
