Anyone Else Feel This Is An Interim Period For Justice League?

When Venditti took over the book, there was just something about the announcement that made me think "This isn't meant to be a long term thing." Now, after just eight issues and two arcs, he's off the book, replaced by someone I've never heard of.
What I find interesting is that this new arc will run through the all-important 50th anniversary issue. Once again, my gut is saying "Odd." I think we'll see one of two things...A) #50 will have to stories in it...the final chapter of the story that starts in #48, plus the first part of the story from whoever is taking over with #51, or B) the book will be ending with #50, and we'll be getting a new #1 relaunched in a few months.

Yes, it is an interim period. It's waiting out Hell Arisen and Death Metal before it becomes meaningful again. I would expect a relaunch, but not yet, this volume should continue past 50. Hmm, what would it's legacy number be (I'm not sure which books count, as there's been various different names over the years and periods with multiple books but none called Justice League of America)? Reaching a milestone would be a good relaunch opportunity, like how Action 1000 ended the previous Superman and Action runs and started Bendis's.

Yeah. DC is only publishing filler content in that book right now.
