You spot a big ol' spider crawling on the floor, so you get a drinking glass and thin cardboard, trap it, release it outside, and a bird swoops down and gets it. Then you hear a small voice cry: "I hope this bird sh@ts on you soon!".

No, but I was once watching a radiation experiment when a spider got caught in the beam and bet one of my classmates.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

No, never happened to me.
But, I once put a spider out of my house and placed it in the garden. It came back...
