Emma shouldn't be anywhere near an ethics class. She's made enormous strides with being good, but she wasn't a small time villain and her acts, which continued long after she joined the X-men, are controversial to say the least as she's prone to backsliding. For instance, her actions in the Hellfire Club in the Dark Phoenix Saga and afterward. As an X-man she would later make an alliance with HYDRA and Norman Osborn, when Osborn ran the government and hunted the Avengers - and was, of course working with Dark Beast to kinda and experiment on mutants to power a plot device because he's Norman Osborn. And to this day is ok violating peoples consent with her telepathy exactly like she did as a villain. "Misused her powers" that's a good one. She's obviously better than Sebastian Shaw but that's a low bar to clear.
