    Default Marvel's Patriotic Avatars

I was wondering who are the CURRENT definitive 'Captain Americas' of their respective MU countries?

    For sure we have:

USA - Captain America (Usually Steve)
UK - Captain Britain (Currently Betsy, typically Brian)
    Canada - Guardian (Usually Mac)

    Then it gets murky…

    Any ideas for other countries?

    Nicolai Krylenko for Russia.

He used to go by Vanguard and do the Hammer and Sickle routine...

...then switched to the Red Guardian motif...:

Not sure if he still goes by Vanguard, or switched to Red Guardian, but Vanguard would still work, imo.

France has their own indomitable heroes who, like Captain America, still hold out against the invaders...

Black Panther is the ruler and symbol of, Wakanda.

The UK has Captain Britain of course, and he/she are great, and handle high level threats, but they also have the street level “working man’s” national symbol in Union Jack, who’s legacy dates back about a hundred years.

Darn it. I like the name Vanguard better. Thanks for the info though!

A large number of non-american heroes are either patriotic ones or stereotypes. It's like the Avengers were made of Captain America, Miss America, American Eagle, Texas Twister, Puma and Big Bertha.

    La Bandera from Cuba

    Askari from Tanzania

    Sabra from Israel

I like that it’s an identity that can be given to whoever the Govt. deems worthy. The character lends itself to having a support team, and the operator could be a badass normal who fights in -and- out of the mech.

And hey, RR has a Shield, that’s very Captain America-ish!

No official Australian hero (Gateway and Slipstream don't count!)?

Also, wasn't Le Peregrine the official hero of France?
    I think he died...

Yeah Wolvie was Captain Canada in that episode. I don't think Captain Brazil, Captain Australia or Captain Liechtenstein exist in the comics.

He was alive during Secret Empire as part of the Champions of Europe. If we're opening this to other non-flag wearers then I'd say Shamrock represents Ireland
