    Default Darth Vader #1

If that is who i think it is it would be the worst part of Star Wars
I wonder if Gorge Locus had a say in the comics

There is no way it can be the real her, so I'm not worried.

Given that the droid sees her as well in the preview for #2, I'm guessing she's not a hallucination.

Clone perhaps? Although I don't think we've seen cloning in the new canon outside of Jango and (presumabely) ROS Palpatine, the technology is established. One of the future comics will apparently visit Padme's tomb so maybe somebody got her genetic material.

She could also be perhaps one of the Queen's handmaiden/decoys, who of course closely resembled her. Maybe with some extra cosmetic surgery to complete the illusion. Could be Sabe (Keira Knightley's character). The Queen's Shadow book apparently has her trying to find out how Padme died, and maybe she thinks Vader has some answers.

Kaminoan clones would be problematic because the facility would be shut down, but the Empire should still be there. You got infant Fett clones, child Fett clones, clones already going through the simulators, like even if they shut down the facility the facility still has 10 years of clones to work with. I got no idea how a Padme clone would slip by like that.

    One of Padme's decoys probably.

One of her decoys seems like the only plausible answer

I don't think the Kaminoans have a monopoly on Clones. Obi-Wan's conservation with Dex seems to indicate that the technology is well known.

I'm hesitant to say it's a clone since Kamino would be the planet most well known for it and Padme was known to possess decoys.

Looks like it's Sabe, the Keira Knightly decoy from TPM. So that theory panned out.

It was really the only realistic theory out there. I'm not sure I liked how easily she went along with Vader here, her motivation to join him just seemed really weak.

Although some issues of this series have been delayed, the current arc is pretty much a sequel to the "Queen's Shadow" novel, with Sabe and Tonra seeking revenge for Padem's death (and Anakin's although they don't know much). There's also Captain Typho, and in some hologram there's a Gungan who might be Jar-Jar. Although Jar-Jar eventually became a pariah/outcast again by the time of the aftermath novel, there's not much about his whereabouts between III and those novels.

Fourth issue isn't out yet so I'm wondering if Sabe & Typho will survive this. In the old Legends stuff, Typho was eventually killed by Vader in the Coruscant Nights books.

Looks like the next issue might bring in Dorme (Rose Bryne) from AOTC. Not sure who the other ones are, (One of them could be Sofia Copolla's one I guess) but the one to the left definitely bears a resemble to Rose Bryne.

Man, and here I thought the pacing in the last issue was bad but this was far more criminal. The concept is great, Darth Vader sets out to investigate his wife's death with the assumption being it's to see if she gave birth before her death, or if what his master said is true. One would think it was a plot ripe for intrigue and character development...but instead we get pointless fight scenes that don't add anything to the plot and easter egg after easter egg about characters that had only had a few seconds of screen time. It's frustrating because you can see the bones of a really great Star Wars story...but it just isn't being executed well.

Yeah, it does tend to drag a bit compared to the other Vader series. Then again I think that's been one of the major issues with Marvel's take on the franchise, too much 'decompressed' storylines, although I think the previous series had better pacing, and also more 'one shot' style storylines, such as the Vader vs. Tarkin hunt.

Yeah, so far Vader has been exempt from the terribly decompressed storytelling but I guess with Pak at the helm it was to be expected.

The cover for the December issue shows the creature cut from Rise of Skywalker that would've been guarding the Pathfinder on Mustafar. I'm guessing it'll tie into Vader getting his version of the Pathfinder and maybe shed some more light on what Exegol was.
