Not going to lie, I'd enjoy another Cable miniseries set in the Askani future. There's a lot of untapped storytelling there.
It’s kind of weird. I mean it’s clearly set up in a comical fashion and not Definitive Proof that Cable is stronger than Logan or more badass. It felt like a “this isn’t your daddy’s Cable/youthful energy Nathaniel” scene to set the tone for the book.
Yes. You.
He’s also the guy who wrote a joke told a thousand times over between straight men. Yet some how it’s treated like the panel had them in bed together.
And no I wouldn’t have a problem if he did. It’s the jumping to the most unlikely conclusion of that scene that bothers me.
“Can’t sleep?”
“Never do.”
“It’s all that hair. Too hot for covers and it’s too cool without them.”
“Jean and I are taking the kids to Chandilore in a few days, and we were wondering if you wanted to come along.”
“Jeannie in a bikini.”
“Scott in a speedo.”
“Heh. Well, who can say no to that?”
One tease is a straight man’s homophobic joke, three is a bi polycule crowd.
He’s an X-Men character. It’s technically his job to be in X-Books.
And another mans license to jump to conclusions despite the common held meaning of said guy in a speedo joke. Also pretty subtle banter for two supposed lovers alone together. I mean you’d think the meaning is pretty clear when Logan’s only thought of the beach trip was Jean in a bikini.
