Default Songs ruined by overuse in movies?

You know what I'm talking about. Those songs that have just been beaten to death by being used over and over in movies or TV. Songs that have been used so many times now that when you hear them it just makes you want to turn the sound off.

The big two that come to my mind are Born to be Wild by Steppenwolf and Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood. Whenever I hear either of those songs I know the director of the movie is just being lazy.

Marvin Gaye and Barry White anytime there is a bedroom scene.

I'm Just a Girl in Captain Marvel. The rest of song choices were good for that movie but using that song in the scene they did was just lazy cliche.

Schools Out for Summer anytime there is a scene about school getting out.

That song felt so force and out of place in that scene.

"Old Time Rock & Roll" by Bob Seger... though more in TV shows doing bad Risky Business parodies.

    "Oh Yeah" by Yello.

I thought it was fun and set the tone well (granted, I wasn't exactly paying attention to the lyrics and noticed the tune more).

Can’t think of any movie ones atm, but “Wonderwall” by Oasis has been used a lot in TV.

I loved the Family Guys through the years episode where Quagmire comes back from Vietnam and has Ptsd from hearing that song every five minutes while he was over there.

    Really?

It was good in Shrek, which is the first time I saw it used in a movie. Hallelujah as well. But since then both songs are overused.
