Default SUPERMAN & LOIS - what vibe do you have before it premieres?

The 5th Clark Kent show (and 7th Superverse show) is set to air later this calendar year 2020 ... presuming the Coronavirus pandemic doesn't stall it for a while.

What's your overall feeling about the show before it airs, and why?

    Poll forthcoming.

Probably between options 2 and 3. The script for the pilot was low key fire on its own, but there's a bit of room for this to not be great.

But as of right now? I'm into it.
"Mark my words! This drill will open a hole in the universe. And that hole will become a path for those that follow after us. The dreams of those who have fallen. The hopes of those who will follow. Those two sets of dreams weave together into a double helix, drilling a path towards tomorrow. THAT's Tengen Toppa! THAT'S Gurren Lagann! MY DRILL IS THE DRILL THAT CREATES THE HEAVENS!" - The Digger

We walk on the path to Secher Nbiw. Though hard fought, we walk the Golden Path.

Most superhero shows have high ups and low downs. The CW shows in particular have their...cwness you have to kind of put up with. But really even stuff like the Netflix Marvel shows started great but quickly went all over the place. And actually ended up kinda worse in a lot of ways. Basically what I’m saying is you have to take the bad with the good. But I’m cautiously optimistic because I actually like Hoechlin’s Superman and Tulloch’s Lois plus the pilot seemed pretty decent and different.

I think we might be jumping the gun since it hasn't premiered yet. But if that leaked script is real, I get a real Smallville vibe from it. Which is a selling point for me. It sounds like the bulk of it is going to take place in Smallville which might be a good thing since you can't have all the shows be filmed in Vancouver without people noticing that all these fictional cities have the same buildings at some point.

Went against my instincts and voted good. My immediate response is great - Hoechlin's my favorite Superman, and the pilot script blew me away - but the kids are a huge X factor, especially given the worst chunks of that script were the #teens dialogue, and end of the day it's still a CW show.

As long as they don't give Superman a team that has a stupid ass tech guy, it'll be fine.

The dialogue was what made me doubt the script was real to begin with. Teenagers don't talk like that. That's what a 50 year old thinks a teenager talks like. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the young actors doesn't take the director aside and say something like "Um...nobody really talks like this."
