“Strength is the lot of but a few privileged men; but austere perseverance, harsh and continuous, may be employed by the smallest of us and rarely fails of its purpose, for its silent power grows irresistibly greater with time.” Goethe
Silver Surfer. Interesting idea. Interesting concept. Cool character design. All of his comics have bored me to death.

So, i'm a bit weird.
So there are characters that I don't really like, but I read their books anyway to see what's going on.
And there are characters I do actually like, but i'm not going to pick up their books.
And then there are characters I am not a fan of, but they have my favorite character in it.
Here are the characters, I like but I will NOT read their books:
Silver Surfer
Green Arrow
Flash
Cyborg
Spider-Man
Green Lantern
Superman
Captain America
Here are Characters and Teams I am NOT a fan off, but I read their books anyway to see what's going on:
Thor
Black Panther(I only read him because Storm is in it)
Hulk
Dr. Strange
Wolverine
Guardians of the Galaxy
Fantastic Four
Avengers
And these are characters I LOVE to read about and I ACTUALLY read their books:
Captain Marvel
Namor
Wonder Woman
Batman
Aquaman
Ghost Rider
X-Men
And here are characters I just don't like and will never pick up their books:
Ironman
Spider-Woman
Venom
Deadpool
Gwenpool

My only and best example is Batman (I know not Marvel). I really like him in movies and tv series, but i'm not able to enjoy any of his comics.
Spider-Man. I love the movies and cartoons but the comics themselves have never interested me.
Assassinate Putin!
First thing that comes into my mind is Ironman, it just doesnt work in comics. He is so much better in animated or films.
The awesomeness of the suits or suit ups is hard to appreciate in static images.

Ever since the new 52, that applies to everything DC.
At Marvel, I'm not opposing to reading anything about him in principle, but it's one miss after another with the character.
Anything and everything that has to do with the "Young" heroes.
Pretty much all of them. But I've always been a team book kind of guy, so solo character series were always more challenging for me, unless an exemplary creative team was on the book.
Not really a character but I've never been able to get into the X-Men outside of their adaptations in other media.
Loki, I used to buy entire collection just to see his few participation and treasure that hints of goddess on him, I have the JIM centered in Young Loki as my more appreciated run and a masterpiece, but now that he is firmly in the good side, I don't care anymore enough to buy his runs. I'm happy for the character and I like that he is more popular now that he was for ages, but for IMO is not the same anymore.
"And you eater of world. May you taste our righteous fire, And choke on it. For my planet's sake, I spit my last breath at thee"
Deadpool: His first run was great, after that...not so much.
Silver Surfer: In small doses
Batman: From time to time...I cannot stand to see Joker, Riddler and the rest of his rogue gallery every time I open the book. They are so overused.
