Still don't like this book and on top of that, it feels like Tini doesn't have a grasp on the history she's actively writing

It was an alright issue, just wish I liked it better. The pacing is still weird, I like that we're checking in with Brian, Meggan and Pete but those scenes felt like such a momentum killer, especially the Coven Akkaba stuff which just doesn't interest me. I wish the core cast was getting more focus. I did think the teaser for next issue was kind of funny considering some people have been overly critical about the lack of English characters.

Excalibur has the Superior Spider-man issue.

Where everybody around Apocalypse has to be either stupid, passive or OOC in order for him to be awesome. And don't get me wrong, Apocalypse and is war crime plans are awesome.

But I don't like Apocalypse anywhere close to enough to like this book at the expense of characters I do like being worse to facilitate his plot

Oh she certainly doesn't. It goes beyond Wiki entries but more that she was a casual reader for a short span somewhere down the road.

Technically a better issue then before. Perhaps her best so far. Dialouge still suffers, especially when she is trying to write the team. Jubilee does a power feat witch feels odd seeing that she has only been doing light shows before. If it means that she will actually step up in battles I'm all for it.

Meggan as a spy isn't a bad direction. How it's done doesn't really sell me on it though.

The most disturbing part is the trouble with Brian-Meggan-child plot. Talk about a well with diminishing returns. Still here Tini stands. Ready to milk it again. Brian doesn't have to be broody, distancing himself from his close ones to be interesting. It's such a bore, I can't stand it again. A bad steroetype.

Betsy doesn't understand why the starlight citadel hasn't opened itself to her? After she has allied herself with Apocalypse? Is the helmet restricting blood to her brain? Surely there must be ways for her to seek out a parlay or other form of personal communication. As a CB or as Betsy Braddock. If the plot insists we must turn a blind eye to all the other more obvious solutions.

My soundtrack while reading it: Peter Gabriel - Here comes the Flood.

Best issue of the series for me. It finally feels like we are moving somewhere. Loved Jubilee's use of her powers. Best the art has looked too. Really was impressed with this issue.

This book isn't about the team. Sadly.
I'm enjoying it more while excluding the X-men parts out of it. Oh and the Braddock parts. So just skip those pages and it's a better comic.

Rictor, Rogue and Gambit feels hella out of place in this book. This book is better off adding mutants with some magic background like Pixie and Magik. Aside from that, Archangel and Fantomex are the only one crazy enough follow Betsy enough in this journey. It would be interesting to see Archangel engage the original horsemen of Apocalypse granted he was suppose to be the heir apparent. The writer have good concepts just problems with execution often making the cast act out of character.

The biggest thing about this book for me is honestly the designs and art. Rictor’s druid look was nice for a bit but his original new look has kind of been ruined with that cape. Rogue’s new look is just...not cute and the coloring feels off. Those CB looks didn’t really do it for me either. He’s a really good talent but this book still doesn’t feel like the best fit for him.

I kinda like Rogue's new look. Rictor's was much better without the Druid thing, though. I sincerely hate the cape and those inks on his face (sorry, JBenito <3).

It honestly might just be the cape she has over it. Idk what it is but To really loves a cape.

This was a lot better than the last issue. It was fun and Jubilee was amazing.

You're forgiven. See you at the Green Lagoon for a pint (you're buying).

I dont get that.Jubilee couldnt make a power move? Didnt she do this exact same things against the Mandarin in the 80s?

She's not just sparkles and fire cracker pops.

One the X-Books biggest faults was never letting Jubilee expand in the use and application of her Pyro kinetic talents.
