Congratulations to Rob Allen for a cover which handled an often negative emotion with humor. The beauty of this cover is that we see other emotions reflected in his nephews and his Uncle Scrooge. This is a cover I did not appreciate as much until contest's conclusion.
The peak of the week, where the captain explains what he has learned from this week's contest: One of the beauties of comics is that the power of a facial expression or pose can be used to express a character's emotional state without the supposed thousand words the picture paints. There is a talent to using a minimum of lines to properly express a character's stae of mind and the cartoonish nature of some series does that quite well. It's another reason why comics are awesome.
Wow, this was unexpected! I'll have a new contest up in a little while - I have an online meeting for work first.
