A good friend's uncle died of covid today, 55 years old, no preexisting conditions other than being a smoker. Leaves behind his wife and 3 kids.
Signed up in my city to be on a waiting list to receive the vaccine. But, I understand it could be a lengthy wait.

My mom got the government letter informing her that she can book an appointment for a vaccination. I'll go over there today and do it online. She's 84.
I got vaccinated on Thursday of last week. My booster is set for mid february. A couple weeks after that, I'll finally feel a degree of safety.
My aunt lives in an apartment for mostly seniors. She said a few of her neighbors have gotten COVID vacs but have felt a little sick afterwards ( either tired or a little nausea). My aunt's doctor said he could get it for her, she said no thanks.
I might be getting tested for COVID tomorrow. Started feeling sick today, so I contacted my Doctor's office and the Doctor I spoke to wants me to get tested, just as a precaution.

I'm getting my first dose of the vaccine tomorrow afternoon.
Watching television is not an activity.
Ran some errands. I went by my bank which has been closed for 10 months and the lights were on and there were people in the lobby!
So far, I have been fortunate. I have had had one family member and one personal friend who had COVID, both have thankfully recovered and are fine now. Other than that, my life has changed in the same ways others have like not being able to travel, no concerts, movie theaters, sporting events, limited gatherings, social distancing, wearing masks in public places. I also thankfully have remained employed though I have a job where I can't work from home. I happy to have stayed employed but I really don't like me job, so I don't even think I would be too upset if I had gotten laid off from it (it's that bad lol).
