LOS and Immortals?

I'm trying to decide which LOS run to start with and wondered about this. I know Bendis is doing something with this topic but I was curious if it's been touched anywhere else. Do immortals appear in other runs? What about Amazons? Are they still around?

A couple pop up here and there but not a lot. Darkseid is the big one having appeared in both the original and the reboot eras. Ra' Al Ghul was also a big part of the reboot timeline.
