"Cable was right!"
I randomly scored a rare Funko Pop Superior Octopus today for under $15.00. I could not believe my luck. I've been looking for this little guy for months now. For some context, Funko Pop Superior Octopus is trending around $50.00 on Eaby/Amazon -

"So you've come to the end now alive but dead inside."
That's cool. I also liked how this look was depicted in Marvel Future Fight.

The spider is always on the hunt.
So I don't know if you guys follow Christopher Cantwell's Doctor Doom series.
But Doctor Doom #7 just dropped and its final panel:
spoilers:end of spoilers
Has Dr. Octopus serving World Minister Doom, as he calls it, on a mission in outer space. So Otto post-Superior, is a Doom lackey
And people wonder why I like Manga better than mainstream American Comic Books. If Dragon Ball, for example, was a Marvel/DC property once full-on villainous character such as Tien, Piccolo (my personal favorite), Vegeta (a prime example of an effective anti-hero) & Frieza (awhile he has grown one could argue Frieza is still close to being a true villain) would all suffer from arrested character development.
"So you've come to the end now alive but dead inside."
I kinda agree with You, but as much as I love Dragon Ball, since Super came out... the story and character development just went down. Only Vegeta's character is blooming, others... not so much.
But yeah, the yearly BIG STORY THAT HAPPENS AND NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME ANYMORE in American comics is annoying, because almost every time it just reverts to status quo. The deaths are undone, the stories are retconned... i suppose that's just how this medium works.
I'm just trying to look at each writers run like a "standalone story" and list things that I like about it, and dont like.
Granted, and, yeah, I'm not the biggest Super fan I'm more a fan of Z & the original series (for this very reason) honestly. That said, I did like the Goku Black Arc up until its less than satisfactory conclusion. But, hey, at least, unlike American Mainstream Comics, the past character development hasn't been magically undone yet (Peter, Otto, exact, I'm looking at you).

this right here I come from reading manga to reading comics in 2016 so I find it weird how Peter is doing the same stuff he has been doing since the 80s and fans are okay with it. Like how the whole Parker Industries stuff happen so many fans were against it like they rather have him continue struggling for money in his everday life.
"He's pure power and doesn't even know it. He's the best of us."-Matt Murdock
"I need a reason to take the mask off."-Peter Parker
"My heart half-breaks at how easy it is to lie to him. It breaks all the way when he believes me without question." Felicia Hardy
I'm on the opposite side of the line from you. I grew up with comics. I don't understand the people that talk about how they like a character and then say they wish the character would turn into something else. As far as manga goes, there's a number of series I've read for a while and dropped because it gradually turned intoa different series than the one I had originally been interested in.
