Given the mountains of money to be made, I'm surprised that there hasn't been great leaps in technology and engineering to get over the hurdles of the pandemic. The whole argument for free enterprise is that it spurs the development of better solutions to the world's problems. It's like the United States is putting on a show in 2020 to disprove this assumption.
If Tenet has to have a theatrical release, just push the movie back until next year. Dude already takes years between films. What's another 6-9 months?
I love Nolan. Like I said before, his movies are always a theatre trip for me, but I have zero hype for Tenet.
I guess it's just hard to find enthusiasm for it amid the unending horror of everyday life!
There is no way Tenet can make money on a maximum 25% audience per showing, since Nolan insists on an only theatrical release, then push the release to 2022. If it’s not release this year, not many people will care.
COVID-19 was on the rise in 24 states last week , today it was announced its now 30 states. Texas and Arizona has paused it’s reopening. I expect other states will do the same in the coming days and weeks. The resurgence of this virus may eventually cause some areas to lockdown again. Disneyland and Disney World has now delayed its planned reopening. Don’t be surprised when movie theaters chains announce they will delay reopening.

For the first time in a long time drive ins count for the weekly box office! Not only that but they have went back and counted the last few weeks as well!
The last 9 weeks no 1 was trolls world tour! Universal gets the last laugh! It's movie is offically no 1 for 9 weeks!
It has been topped this week. In first place is the 90s film jurassic park back in first place! In second place jaws!
Goonies, et and back to the future return to the top 10 also!

So universal gets a win and 80s and 90s films are back in the top 10 box office! Next few weeks wonder woman and spider-verse as well as wizard of oz and kiki's delivery service are all getting rereleases. Kind of crazy.
It also shows again how big drive ins are getting again.
It’s a brand new old world.
I saw Back to the Future in a drive-in the first time around!
Sure wouldn't mind seeing The Wizard of Oz in one.
Tenet has been delayed until August 12th, I doubt this will date hold too.

Florida banned the sell of alcoholic bars, Texas has closed bars and restaurants, parts of California is rolling back their reopening.
I’m starting to doubt movie theaters opening at all this year. This virus is now rising in 32 states, last week it was only 24 states, next week it will probably be up in 40 states. Sorry to say, at this point in time we are in a worse situation than March and April.
