    Here other chart

So as there is a increase in movie release, at the same time there’s a decrease in attendance. This is telling.

Is that theatrical realeses only or does it include straight to streaming or VOD?
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

So I will throw out another reminder the Paramount Decree is done. When making a projection if the industry is going to live or die remember that there law was passed saying Studios owning theaters was unfair, That law does not exist anymore. Tomorrow if Disney or WB decides it they can buy AMC and operator as a theater chain. We can very much be living in a world in the future where you see Disney Theaters, WB Theaters and Paramount theaters instead of Cinemark, Regal and AMC. The one of the biggest problem is that Theaters are a middle man well what happens if they aren't middle man anymore?

Box office update from the box office thread and great news for theatres.

A quiet place 2 to the rescue! made more then it was expected to make pre-virus!

    $57m so far!

Paramount’s A Quiet Place Part II is crushing it, having grossed $19.3M yesterday, including $4.8M Thursday night previews, for what it looking like a $47.5M 3-day, $57.4M 4-day opening at 3,726 theaters for a $15,4K theater average. That’s a number which isn’t too far from the $60M which the John Krasinski-directed sequel was expected to do in its 3-day opening pre-pandemic! A Quiet Place Part II‘s money is being earned on a pure, unadulterated 45-day theatrical window. The sequel will hit Paramount+ after that time frame.
    For cruella--

Meanwhile, Disney’s Cruella, did $7.7M on Friday, including Thursday previews, for what will be a $22.3M 3-day opening, $27.3M estimated 4-day at 3,892 theaters, for a $7K per theater.
    Note-

what this shows with Cruella is that if it wasn’t on Disney+ Premier at $29.99, it could have made more money.
    Well duh.

Also demon slayer on the edge of $50m in america.

To be fair, it's clear that Cruella could have earned more money. It's not clear if it would have made more money.

The thing about Cruella is Disney gets approximately 60% of the money from box office sells and 100% from streaming.

Clearly, that's not true. We don't know how much they spend to deliver a streaming service.

You mean they are paying their own employees, instead of paying 50% to a middle man.

So you have no idea what costs to have less than 5 minutes of downtime per year on a network, particularly a high volume network.

You have no idea either, but I bet it’s not close to 50% the theaters are getting from Disney’s movie slate per year.
