I would say read Exiles. Not only is it what your looking for it is an awesome series period. The best part is the story arcs are usually only 2 to 3 issues long and not the usual dragged out 6 issues so it is all killer no filler. A big thing that makes it so different is that with the book being made up of characters from alternate realitys no one was really safe and could be killed off at any time and then just replaced with someone new. There are 4 different Exiles series but the first one is the one you want to read and the short lived third one. The second and forth are not good books at all.
