    Byakuya is more than capable of killing Toshiro before his bankai fully activates.

    With his true bankai (which we will get to see animated and I am so happy about that!!!!!!!! ) Toshiro would have good shot given how instantly he can freeze massive areas with that thing.

    Without it Byakuya is too experienced, fast and his bankai can shred through Toshiro's ice.
