    Default Giant Size X-Men: Nightcrawler

The team went back to the old mansion through the Krakoa gateway. There they found some images of Rachel and Warpath. They followed Rachel down a tunnel.

In the tunnel, Rachel disintegrated into a bunch of Sidris. Cypher was absorbed by the tunnel into another section.

While the rest of the team fought the Sidri, Cypher managed to communicate with the Sidri as to what was happening.

Magik managed to find Cypher and found Warlock too. She teleported Cypher back to the rest of the team.

Cypher explained that the mansion was infested by the Sidri after they left for Krakoa.

Soon after, a mutant Lady Mastermind wanted to use the gateway but was trapped by the Sidri thinking she was a threat.

Lady Mastermind used her illusion powers to call for help invoking images of Rachel and Warpath.

Lady Mastermind was freed by Cypher and ?Warlock? and invited to Krakoa by the team.

This really should be called Giant Size New Mutants instead. Nightcrawler didn't do much.

PS: Can somebody put the spoilers and discussion to the title?

This was... Not amazing for me. It was very quick, it didn't have enough Nightcrawler and was kinda random.

I loved the art though. And I'm curious about what the heck Cypher and Warlock are doing.

Krakoa: How about following protocol, just this once?

    The New mutants:

Also boy does Night Cralwer not matter for this story.

i loved it but it certaintly wasnt too focused on kurt, but it was nice to see warlock! The story threads are moving considerably faster than hickman's previous work

Didn't like this at all. It's pretty much the weakest issue Hickman has put out since taking over the franchise. Alan Davis did great though on the art side of things.

It's called Giant Size Nightcrawler because the Sidri are also night crawlers. Sort of. #subtext

I'm confused. What was the point? Did Lady Mastermind really need a Giant-Size issue to get her to Krakoa? And why was this called a Nightcrawler story?

Biggest issue with this issue is that it's decompressed to all hell.

Like this story realistically could have been told in 4 pages tops.

This was a miss for me. Not sure why it was titled Nightcrawler.

Seems to be a running theme for these giant sized stories. Jean Grey/Emma Frost took an entire issue to tell a story that normally lasts a single panel, one page at most.

Not my favorite but there were some nuggets of intrigue.

First of all, Kurt is a sexy stud.

Warlock! So that explains that scene in the Crucible issue. I guess he's hiding because he's not a mutant?

This batch of Sidri now live in the mansion. Lovely.

Eye-boy was great here, I gotta say.

I thought it was ok. We already knew it wasn't going to be focused on Kurt due to what Hickman said in one of his last interviews. I liked the team, the little mystery, and the inclusion of Warlock, etc. While it wasn't super great it wasn't bad either. I like Davis' art.

Their is absolutely nothing anyone could say that wouldn't make me think this wasn't a waste of paper.. That's two lackluster giant sized issues in a row, and it was more about Doug than Kurt.
