How sad. I was never a country music fan, but even I recognized the importance of Mr. Pride in the genre.

Director of the White House Security Office, Crede Bailey, played a terrible price for Trump's carelessness. He is still recovering from Covid-19, and the virus caused severe problems with his blood vessels.

The 54 year old lost his right foot and lower leg, and a toe on his left foot in his battle against the virus.

Rep.-elect Luke Letlow (R-La.) has died from the coronavirus, multiple sources confirmed Tuesday evening. He was 41.

Letlow, who served as chief of staff to former Rep. Ralph Abraham (R-La.) before being elected to fill that seat, was supposed to be sworn into Congress on Sunday. He is the first member or member-elect to die from the coronavirus, though dozens of lawmakers have tested positive for Covid-19 over the past year.

Letlow leaves behind a wife and two small children.

On a local front for me, Jay Wright, head coach of Villanova's nationally ranked men's basketball team tested positive two days ago, but was said to have had mild symptoms:

Question, who fills his seat then? Is it a special election, or does the governor of the state appoint a replacement? And who is the governor, and what is his/her party if the latter is the case?

No replacement, they will have a special election which the Governor will set up.

Ah, thanks. You know I read several stories in the news about this, and not one of them mentioned that, which is a natural question anyone would have, and newsworthy.
