Excellent issue! I started reading comics back during the original Brood Saga, and that is when I fell in love with the X-Men. The Brood always have a special spot in my heart because of that.
Now, I just want to see the OG Rebel Queen, Hannah Conover, wake up from her stasis beneath the mansion and see how she - a schismatic, heretical ‘mutant’ Brood with free will, herself - and Broo get on.
It might also be cool to see her interact with the Sidri Hunters now roosting in the ruins of the school...I can’t recall if we’ve ever seen Brood and Sidri interact...

also the sidri's attempts failed due to mind structure, but somehow it seemed baby mastermind had it in the bag, how interesting ...
Man, this is what X-Men should be: ridiculous sci-fi action.
Wasn't expecting that ending.
9.5/10. Yu please.
Also I like how Jean's speech about the Queens' fear of being taken over by higher rank Brood was actually a reference to the flatscans' fear of being taken over by the mutants.

"Cable was right!"
OH GOD! now I remember the Scatter....they were the weird aliens that Force Works fought in issue 1 of Force Works back in the 90s and Wonder Man got "killed" in that issue and replaced with Century (I'd like to see someone use that lame ass dude again :P)...I had that comic and its weird fold out/pop up cover.
I feel like this is something Jason Aaron would do.
You go, Broo.
JGS foreva!
aaron wouldnt have been capable of building up to the egg
Can't say enough good things about this issue.
The general take going in was "Gabriel!!..."
Meanwhile, it was going to actually wind up being "Nope... Broo!!..."
Priceless.
Never mind that Gladiator went back to being someone you should not be laughing off in this issue.
Jean describing the power that the queens have, and how motivated they’d be to hang on to
It, and what they’d do to hang onto it....
I couldn’t help but think of the Phoenix force.
It’s especially a good metaphor to use with him given that they both (Jean and Scott) have wrestled with it in some
Form or another.
Your favorite superhero- the one you visit these forums to talk about. Would they talk to others the way you do on this message board?
