Default Comics where you thought "that's what a hero should be"

Just some moment where you thought heroes really shined as heroes.

Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) - Blue Beetle 2006 issues #24 & 25. Fantastic.

Nightwing (Dick Grayson) - Nightwing 1996 issue 19. Not the climax of any story. Just rescues after the earthquake. With thought and caring and endurance. And very much contrasted with Nite-Wing.

I'm not sure of the exact issue but i really liked how Kingdom Come Superman saved a suiciding teenager in Geoff John's JSA.

Red Son Superman catching and giving back his baloon to an american kid.

A lot of these are recent memories, because that’s what I got right now.

Hal Jordan in Black Stars #3, Speech about Willpower and his I’m Hal Jordan you should be scared moment

Jon Kent in DCeased #6 revealing the S as he goes to save the arks from his undead dad
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
    Words to live by.

I didn’t read a lot of the second Justice Society run with Kingdom Come Superman, but if that scene happened, it was a copy of a moment in Morrison’s All Star Superman. That’s my moment by the way.

It was in the All Star at first, wasn't it... No wonder All Star Superman is my all times favorite DC series, even if time made a number on my mind. Geoff knows where to steal, his end for Kingdom Come Superman in JSA was like Red Son Superman's end as well.

These scenes from Green Lantern Corps #36-37 where Sodam Yat flies into Daxam's red sun to turn it yellow so the Daxamites will have a chance fighting back against the Sinestro Corps.

    All Star Superman -

    Superman reignites the sun.

Superman hugs the suicidal girl. “You’re stronger than you think you are.”

Superman rescues the lost baby suneater. Yes, it had potential to grow up and be a huge threat but it was lost and needed his help and he’s SUPERMAN!

    - Basically anytime Superman helps for the sake of helping. Not motivated by vengeance, guilt, or religious obligation. Just helping because he has the power to help. Best. Character. Ever.

Totally agree. I feel the same way about Steve Rude, as well.
