What are some good ongoing non mainstream superhero comics?

I like less mainstream stuff most of the time and I was wondering what good DC/Marvel or maybe even another company that makes superhero comics that has a decent ONGOING superhero that isn’t mainstream. I prefer single hero comics rather than group comics. Thanks for replying

• X-Men (2019) by Johnathan Hickman - it's a team, but that acts as one
• Green Lantern by Grant Morrison - team but centered on Hal Jordan
• Aquaman by Dan Abnett
• Super-sons by Peter J. Tomasi - not a team but a duo
• Justice League Dark by James Tynion IV - a team but an interresting take
• Flash by Joshua Williamson
• Batman: White Knight / Curse of the White Knight by Sean Murphy

I'm assuming by "mainstream" you mean A-List superheroes? I'm assuming you're looking for something beyond Batman, Superman, Hulk, Wolverine...

For instance, I think of Dr Strange as "mainstream" but he's not really a pop culture icon. Would you be open to something like that?

There's a lot of comics I've been enjoying over last few years, but many of them fall outside of the superhero genre. Are you interested in say Vertigo "type" comics or is that not your cup of tea so much?

It might not be considered an ONGOING, since it lasted only 6-issues. But, I highly recommend Warren Ellis' Moon Knight:

Since Warren Ellis came up, DC Comics let him rework the old "Wildstorm..." universe characters in a title called The Wild Storm.

While the entire two year run was seriously brilliant "Super Hero" material, the "John Lynch"-arc that starts the second year might be taking a serious look at. Pretty much a single character dealing with one other character in each issue in a set of interlocking issues.

Even in a title that was brilliant, that arc stuck out as being just a bit better than the rest of the run.

The "New52" run of Dial H might also be worth looking into. That said, it's far enough out that it absolutely ain't going to be for everyone.
